Dancing Machine

Week 35 was Baby Doyle's first adventure with mommy and daddy on the dance floor!  It was the Bay Hill Member Guest tournament and Pete and I (despite my large size) managed to still whip around the dance floor with dips and turns and lots of shaking!  We needed to have a really good time to make up for the golf played that week...there was no crystal "pickle dish" taken home to the Doyle house on awards night ;)

Gonna stretch out that pink shirt to make it last for this last month!

Anthropologie dress that works as maternity!

I hung a mirror over the changing table this week - perfect for entertaining a baby
who doesn't want their diaper changed!
I also hung our wedding guest book tree in the nursery.  I've ordered a nice white frame for it,
but until then the cheap poster frame target will do!

On Friday night there Bay Hill didn't have an event so we went out to Roy's
with a few of the couples playing in the tournament
Here we are all dolled up for the awards night!  Not sure why it came out so fuzzy.
Think my phone lens had shmutz on it.

34 Weeks

Up 30 lbs @ 34 weeks
It's been quite a journey!  We are really feeling ready to meet this little pumpkin!  We decided to hire our birthing coach that we've spent countless one on one time with over the past several months as our doula at the birth.  We are so excited to have such an amazing team of people by our side for our big day:)  This is going to be a perfect way to cap off an action packed year!

This week we have the Bay Hill Member Guest tournament!  Last year was excellent so we are looking forward to a repeat.  Here's a few pics of some of the fun from last year - we'll be sure to capture my pregnant-self spinning around the dance floor this year!

Kent & Jennifer, Pete & I, Theresa and Susie & Tom (obvi sweaty after a nigh of dancing hard!)

Theresa and I at the kick off party dancing up a storm!

Theresa and I at the awards banquet - I'll miss you this year PSM!

Looking forward to swinging around the floor with Pete - likely at not such a fast & furious pace!

33, a Shower, and a Musky!

Phew!  What a week!  I was riding solo most of the week while Pete was in Wisconsin on a week long fishing adventure with about 10 of his buddies.  My mom came to my rescue Thursday so we could spend the day Friday prepping for the baby shower on Saturday.  We were in baking and decoration bliss for 8+ hours on Friday.  The shower came together exactly how I'd hoped!  There were a couple of pinterest inspired creations and months of ideas executed.  All the friends and family that came to support Baby Doyle's arrival were so wonderful!  It was such a great time and I wish we could throw parties every month!

Here are the pictures to commemorate this amazing week!
The baking prep for the shower began with a pinterest inspired cake - holy tedious
The cake came out lovely...but the real test was to slice it open and see if the dream was a reality
And it was!! The colored layers were perfect and I was beyond excited!
Other goodies included chicken salad croissants, cucumber sandwiches,
assorted fruit and raspberry panacotta
The drink station
I know baby shower games are everyone's nightmare - but I had to throw in a few just so I could give some prizes away!

There were 960 jelly belly's!
Presents!! (Pete and I bought the Bugaboo stroller that week!)

Opening presents!  So thankful for all the goodies! This was my video monitor
from my bestie Amy!  Already tested her out and it's going to be a fun toy:)
The BOB stroller from my Dad and Carolyn!  Ready to run off this baby weight stat!

Courtney stayed the night after the shower so we could do some post-shower shopping!  Baby Doyle is literally a camera hog already.

Here we are at 33 weeks!  The shirt is about to be too short as Baby Doyle grows and drops!

And here's Dad & his Musky!

"Lettuce" Bid Adieu...

Moving right along we cruise into week 33 and I'm feeling good!  Pete left for "Musky Round-Up" in WI yesterday so I'm flying solo this week until Thursday when my mom comes to stay for the weekend.  We will have several days to prep for the baby shower and just "ooh" and "ahh" over all the baby goodies.  If we are this excited about all the "stuff", I can't imagine how cuckoo we are going to be once Baby Doyle actually arrives!

Here's to another great week!
Think the belly has hit a growth plateau over the past several weeks.

Here's me not in my weekly outfit!  Just to prove I do wear other clothes:)

About As Done As It's Going To Be

The nursery has been coming together over the past several months.  After the baby shower this coming Saturday, I will be able to put away the last of all the gifts and let the nursery lay in wait for Baby Doyle's arrival!  I went with a simple gray crib skirt and gray crib sheet for now.  If a baby girl arrives, I want to go feminine with lots of soft whites, creams and blush pink.  If it's a boy, I want navy blues, turquoise, and yellow!  It will be a fun project to have after Baby D is a couple of months old and ready to move into his/her room!  Here are a few pictures of some nursery details:

Plain & simple awaiting the big day!

Adorable crib quilt from Aunt Lindsay & a ridic soft baby blanket from the Chicago shower

Dresser details - Buying a tray from West Elm to put my little cups in - just have to wait for the baby to pick the color!

The rocker.  Some sweet little friends that come home with us from Chicago are enjoying it for now.

Sweetest mobile - going to hang with fishing wire over the changing pad for Baby D's enjoyment.
These are maps of lakes up in WI near Dairymen's
I have 4 altogether - if it's a boy they stay in the nursery (over the crib or changing table)
If it's a girl - they are going in the playroom

Lots of swaddle blankets!!! So adorable!

Mr. Palmer or Miss Reese?

Can't wait to meet Baby Doyle!
Another week down and another week closer to finding out whether we have a little Pete or a little Heather!  I had my last flight of this pregnancy this weekend.  It was for my Chicago baby shower!  The shower was hosted by Pete's mom's best friends and it was fantastic!  There was so much excitement, love and support...not to mention all the adorable baby goodies.  We are so thankful that everyone has helped us put together all the necessities (and quite a few luxuries) for Baby Doyle's arrival!  My sister in law's camera is holding all the shower pictures hostage so once I get those I shall share.  One of the gifts is highlighted right here - the 31 week picture was taken with a snazzy new Canon Power Shot that Pete's Aunt Jenny bought for us!  We are officially prepared to take hours of video and hoards of pictures once baby arrives.

In home news:  we have decided we love the color of the guest bathroom and nursery so much we are going to go wild and paint the great room/stairway/upstairs hall that color, too!  This is going to make picking out the new fireplace tile a breeze because I fell in love with some grey marble that just wasn't going to work with the current tan color on the walls.  We are really trying to squeeze in as much home improvement as possible before we have our new family member!  I'm sure with 2 months left there will be a few other projects we can squeeze in!

Here are some randoms that go along with recent happenings:

Here's the tile I want for the fireplace - but laid horizontally
Fall @ the front door

And Fall @ the side door

Baby shower goodies!!!
