My original monthly picture plan was to capture Palmer next to a basketball so we could watch him grow next to it. Maybe one day he'll even be able to palm the ball in his picture...if he's still letting me take his picture at that age:) I never did get a good one last month, but I wanted to have one to add to the collection, so this is the best of those attempts...paci and ear well all in!

We had much greater success in month 2! I am getting to know him better and better everyday and knew grabbing him first thing in the morning would be my best bet. I didn't catch a smile and my " backdrop" got all messed up, but he's there and so is the basketball, so I consider it success.

2 Months in and everything has changed. My favorite two new "milestones" are he smiles all morning long and can actually look at things now. I never thought I'd have things to do to fill up a day with a newborn, but I could watch him smile and coo at my lame attempts to entertain him all day long. I think I spend half of my day taking pictures of him. One day he's probably going to think my phone is permanently attached to my hand because it's always in his face.

I also take a fair amount of videos. Sometimes those videos go excellent...and sometimes we get a little surprise. The surprise on this video can be heard, not seen.
And let's not forget in all this baby excitement, less than a year ago Pete and I were married! We've taken the titles husband & wife and mother & father all in the same year. We still don't believe Palmer is real and giggle every time we refer to him as our "son." I love looking back on all these wedding pictures to see where the happiness and love began.
